Hyperledger Fabric (HLF) / Chaincode Development Environment - a Comparison
This is my contribution to the Hyperledger Tech Study Circle on 29th January 2021.
In this article I compare two different approaches how the Fabric Chaincode Development Environment can be applied. For this purpose a PEER in a –peer-chaincodedev mode can be started.
The advantage of this method is the avoidance of running through the whole installation process after a change of the chaincode. For testing the changes a restart of the chaincode containers is sufficient. Thus, the testing of a chaincode is simplified.
