This article delivers insights into the world of HLF 2.2.x. The talk starts with the concept of the smart contract and shows how it is linked to Fabric. Furthermore, the “chaincode lifecycle” process is shown which is newly introduced in Fabric Version 2. Finally, the differences to version 1 are presented.

With an hands-on example the existing chaincode ABstore is installed in a test-network of fabric-samples. The upgrade process is also addressed as well as how to change the chaincode afterwards.
